The question of choosing the right roof is one of the most important when building or closing a house, and this issue should be approached more seriously than a business dissertation. The safety and appearance of the house depend on the roof.

Our office will book you a personal appointment with one of your local certified roofing consultants.

Our certified roofing consultant will come to your home and physically go on to your roof to determine what work is required. After inspection, they will explain what work is required and how it can be completed. Choosing the right roof requires you to select the material, colour and style, projected lifespan and price. Our consultant will answer any questions you have and recommend the roofing solution that meets your criteria. At this time, you will be provided with a written estimate.

Upon authorization of the work to commence, you will be contacted to arrange dates for work to be completed.

On installation day, the crew leader will advise you of their arrival and brief you on the work and procedures for the day. Our experienced crew will arrive on site and set the area up to protect your home.
- Protection of property and belongings (i.e. Tarp areas, protect plants, etc.) where shingles are being removed.
- Removal and disposal of existing shingles.
- Prepare roof deck based on conditions; inspect and replace any wood if damaged or rotten. With many roof decks in the past 30 years being constructed with 3/8” plywood, in some cases extensive replacement is required at an additional cost to the quotation. During most estimates or inspections our estimators can indicate to the homeowner about roof deck damage. But in some cases because of certain circumstances (i.e.: Two layers hide the true severity) part of or the entire roof deck has to be replaced.
- Install 3 inch ice and water on all eaves of roof. Ontario Building Code only requires 25lb glass base but due to our ever changing weather conditions AM Roofing Solutions goes up and above those requirements by installing Ice & Water (self sealing membrane).
- Install metal eave starter (drip edge) on eaves.
- Install shingles as per manufacturer’s warranty.
- Install pre-painted (baked on enamel) 26 gauge metal valley, with Ice and Water shield up both sides of the valley.
- Install ice and water shield up all step & side walls as well as around chimneys and skylights.
- Recommended options: to install full synthetic roof underlay, Owen’s Corning Deck Defense.
- We install Duraflo ventilation products such as double baffle Weather Pro 50 ridge vents and Pro Ridge.
- Install custom fabricated counter flashings to retrofit walls and chimneys. Not only does this improve the aesthetic appearance of your home but also helps prevent water penetration.
- Possible insulation or eaves trough work to be done (dependent on contracts).
- Clean-up: Throughout the day garbage is controlled and areas are kept tidy. At the end of everyday we preform a thorough clean up with complete ground cleaning and full magnetic clean up of the yard, driveway and eaves trough.
- Final inspection by crew leader. At the end of every job crew leaders will preform a final inspection and do a walk around with customers. *Specifications may change dependent on your contract.

You will be contacted by one of our courteous office staff once the roof is completed. Upon final payment, manufacturers and workmanship warranties will be mailed to you.
